When an employee files for partial unemployment due to a reduction in hours, the employer will receive a "Claim Filed for Partial Unemployment Bene

If I’m working part-time, am I still required to actively seek work?

Yes.

Am I required to actively seek work as a partial claimant?

No. Partial claimants aren’t required to seek work. However, you must work all hours an employer offers you during each week claimed.

Are the weekly eligibility requirements different for partial claimants?

Yes. You must work all available hours. If you do not work all hours offered to you, you may be held ineligible for benefits.

Are partial benefits different than regular unemployment benefits?

Yes. Your employer will receive notice that you have filed a claim for partial benefits and your weekly benefit amount.
