Virginia Paid Family & Medical Leave Newsletter

November 2026

For Release:
November 2, 2026

Welcome to the second edition of the Virginia Paid Family and Medical Leave newsletter. On the first Monday of each month, we’ll share the latest information on the development and implementation of Virginia’s new Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program.

Updated FAQs based on YOUR feedback

During this summer’s virtual listening sessions, VEC received hundreds of questions from workers, employers, healthcare providers, HR teams, and insurers. You can catch up on those sessions here.

We’ve worked hard to identify the most common themes and have updated our FAQ’s in easy-to-understand terms to provide more details about the program.
