What happens if I am not able to or available for work?
All claimants are required to be able to and available for work to be eligible for benefits. If you are not able to or available for work during the week claimed, you must answer "NO" to the question on your weekly request for payment of benefits. You will be required to provide information to explain why you were not able to or available for work. This explanation will be submitted to a deputy to determine if you are eligible for benefits for that week.
