How will I be notified of a separation and billing?
If you are the last employer, or the most recent 30-day/240-hour employer, a Report of Separation & Wage Information will be sent electronically to your SIDES portal (if registered), or to your ESS portal and by mail when a former employee files for unemployment benefits. If you are not the last employer, you will receive a Statement of Potential Benefit Liability. Any resulting charges will also appear in your quarterly charge report.
