Employer Advisory Committees

Job Fairs

Employers requesting labor certification for the temporary or permanent employment of foreign workers are required to offer prevailing wages and working conditions for that particular occupation and to demonstrate that no similarly employed U.S. worker will be adversely affected.

The Employer Advisory Committee (EAC) is a vehicle for building a partnership between employers and the VEC. Since employer taxes generate the VEC funding base, it is important for employers to join with VEC management to identify and address workforce needs. The EAC also provides a mechanism for professional growth and development for employers who participate.
