Area veterans seeking employment in and around the Culpeper area have a new representative at the Culpeper Career Resources Center they can contact to aid their efforts.
 

Veterans Employment Representative Michael Barnes, of the Virginia Employment Commission's Charlottesville region, is available to work with veterans at the career center at 210 East Stevens Street on the third Thursday of each month between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon.
 

Barnes said he can help local veterans get registered with the Virginia Workforce Connection, the state's on-line database for employment and labor market information in Virginia.
 

Barnes said he can also assist vets with many aspects of their employment searches, including developing their resumes and on-line profiles, defining their professional interests, seeking training workshops and seminars and accessing other veterans' benefit services.
