We are Level 2 (Dormatory Style) security facility  Virginia State Correctional Facility located in
Dillwyn, VA, located in Buckingham County.

We maintain a male inmate population of approximately 900 inmates. We focus on
preparing inmates to return to the community as productive citizens through a
variety of programs, counseling, and activities. Our Officers provide a
multitude of functions from security, recreational activities, and
transportation to appointments for the inmate population.

The Department offers promotion opportunities and continued training programs to enhance
your knowledge in the Correctional profession.

Correctional Officer starting salary of $42,000 with a 6,000 sign on bonus.
