Members of V3 Program Discuss Employment Challenges
May 19, 2014 - RichmondRichmond - On May 8, 2014, “Virginia Conversations” host May-Lily Lee met with members of the V3 Program for an hour to talk about Veteran employment challenges facing the Commonwealth.
Andrew Schwartz, V3 Program Manager; Charlie Palumbo, Statewide Veterans Outreach Coordinator; and Michael Hunter, Veteran Career Developer at Opportunity, Inc. spoke about Virginia’s Veteran population, unemployment statistics, and the great work being done in Virginia to increase employment opportunities for Veterans.
Veterans and employers also called in to the conversation and gave their own stories of challenges and successes.
